Zhenlai county in Baicheng, Jilin province, boosted the branding and market reach of its ecological agricultural products through a promotional event held in Beijing on Oct 27.
Representatives of industry associations, experts and scholars, Beijing-based buyers, e-commerce platforms, and supply chain companies attended the event to explore brand development and business cooperation.
Located in the Songnen Plain, Zhenlai lies within the world's golden rice-growing belt and a major soda saline-alkali land region, with the Nenjiang providing abundant water resources. In recent years, Zhenlai has promoted soil improvement through rice cultivation, water management, and water bamboo planting, nurturing specialties such as weakly alkaline rice, water bamboo, organic fish, Chinese mitten crabs, and crayfish.

At the event, county representatives highlighted product quality and health-oriented appeal and invited buyers and businesses to explore cooperation in agricultural products, drinking water, aquatic processing, and prepared foods.
Representatives from local industry associations also introduced Zhenlai's rice, aquatic products, water bamboo, specialty wheat, and other offerings. Experts shared ideas on industrial upgrading, while six groups of companies from Beijing and Jilin reached sales and distribution cooperation agreements.
An on-site tasting area also showcased local specialties, allowing potential buyers to sample products and discuss business opportunities.
