The second Changbai Mountain Ginseng Culture and Trade International Exchange Event showcased Jilin's ginseng heritage and promoted international cultural and business cooperation.
The event was held in Beijing on Oct 16, as part of the 2026 Beijing International Traditional Medicine Exhibition, alongside the 2026 World Traditional Medicine Conference.
The 108-square-meter Jilin ginseng pavilion featured 10 themed sections showcasing ginseng culture, traditional customs honoring older people, medicinal cuisine, cultural and creative products, science publications, local specialties and traditional health exercises. It also served as a key venue to facilitate business matchmaking.
Visitors sampled ginseng-infused tea, medicinal dishes, and Double Ninth Festival cakes, while demonstrations of tai chi and Baduanjin exercises attracted audiences to participate. The pavilion highlighted the region's authentic ginseng resources and the intangible cultural heritage of traditional ginseng gathering.

Ten Jilin enterprises presented their distinctive local products, including velvet antler, forest frog oil, and emerald products, to international buyers. Business discussions were held to explore potential partnerships and market opportunities.
The exhibition covered 10,000 square meters and welcomed international participants through the World Traditional Medicine Conference, which invited more than 600 overseas guests and over 3,000 domestic representatives.
Building on the success of the inaugural event held in Geneva, Switzerland, in 2025, the Beijing gathering helped expand the international reach of Jilin ginseng and traditional Chinese medicine. It ran through Oct 18, promoting cultural exchange and wider global cooperation in the traditional medicine industry.
