Jilin launches autumn tourism campaign

Northeast China's Jilin province launched its "Golden Jilin" 2026 autumn cultural and tourism campaign on Sept 8 in Changchun, kicking off a series of activities for the peak travel season.
The campaign, running from September to October, will highlight Jilin's autumn landscapes, folk culture, and revolutionary and industrial heritage, bringing together tourism resources across the province through a combination of major events and supporting activities, with coordinated efforts by provincial and local authorities.

Fifteen major events and two supporting programs will be held, with highlights including a G331 National Highway border tourism campaign, the launch of new autumn road trip routes, and seasonal tourism discounts.
Local governments will also organize more than 300 themed activities featuring autumn scenery, rural tourism, red heritage, folk traditions, sports, Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations, and National Day events.

The province has also planned nearly 200 additional activities for the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, including the Changchun aviation carnival, immersive performances in Siping, a cultural and tourism carnival in Tonghua, birdwatching activities at Chagan Lake in Songyuan, and the ninth Changbai Mountain Forest Cycling Race.
Jilin will also introduce 18 new tourism products and seven new road trip routes, offering more choices for different types of travelers.
