Jilin deepens economic, trade ties with Hong Kong

A delegation from Jilin held talks on Aug 25 with Tsang Chi-ming, vice-chairman of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, and representatives of member companies, during the second Jilin-Hong Kong-Macao Economic and Trade Exchange.
Yang Di, chairman of Jilin Juntai Dongfang Pharmaceutical Co, invited Hong Kong entrepreneurs to visit Jilin, including its under-forest ginseng cultivation bases and modern pharmaceutical factories, to explore cooperation opportunities.
Zou Lianhe, chairman of Jilin Province Wanhe Light Group, said the company is ready to deepen cooperation with Hong Kong businesses in lighting, energy storage, and other fields.
Wang Weize, vice-president of Changchun Haoyue Halal Meat Industry Co, introduced the company's full industrial chain development model and expressed hopes of establishing long-term, stable supply relationships with Hong Kong catering businesses and food traders.
Witnessed by representatives from both sides, the Department of Commerce of Jilin Province and the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong signed a memorandum of cooperation to further strengthen practical collaboration.

In the afternoon, the delegation visited the Federation of HK Jilin Community Organizations for talks. Established in 2024, the federation has brought together Jilin natives in Hong Kong and friends from various sectors who support Jilin's development, serving as a bridge for economic, trade, and cultural exchanges.
