China FAW is demonstrating how embodied intelligence can move from demonstrations to real-world automotive manufacturing at the World Robot Conference 2026 (WRC 2026), held in Beijing from Aug 19 to 23.

FAW Mold Technology (Changchun) Co is showcasing a lineup of innovations, including a wheel-arm robot, a full-size bipedal humanoid robot, a compact bipedal service robot, a heavy-duty robot and robotic joint modules.

Among the highlights, China FAW's autonomous parts-picking and delivery scenario at an automobile assembly plant has been selected as one of the Top 10 High-Value Robot Applications by China's centrally administered State-owned enterprises.

The wheel-arm robot integrates a self-developed vision-language-action model and whole-body motion control. It can recognize parts, grasp and transport them, load components, tighten bolts, and perform precision positioning.

The robot has already been tested in actual production settings, where it has picked and delivered windshield washer fluid tanks, tightened rear-suspension bolts, and loaded welding components. During the expo, China FAW is simulating a parts-delivery scenario to showcase its capability to identify, grasp, transport, and work collaboratively within an industrial environment.
