Changchun in Northeast China's Jilin province hosted the Sixth International Symposium on Antler Science and Product Technology on Aug 14, bringing together experts and industry representatives to explore new frontiers in antler science and the deer industry.
With a history of over 2,000 years of medicinal use, antler has long been valued in traditional medicine. Today, its remarkable regenerative ability also makes it an important research model for regenerative medicine, opening new possibilities for biomedical research and product development.

The symposium brought together 28 experts from China and abroad to discuss three major areas: antler regeneration, bioactive compound extraction, and smart deer farming. Researchers shared new findings on regeneration mechanisms and immunology, while industry representatives explored ways to turn scientific discoveries into market-ready products.
A deer industry commercialization showcase highlighted new deer-based health foods, skincare products, and wellness drinks, demonstrating how research is being translated into consumer products.
