China FAW unveils major innovation exhibition

China FAW officially opened its latest innovation achievements exhibition on July 15, showcasing the company's progress in independent innovation and industrial upgrading over the past six years and highlighting the role of a central State-owned enterprise in advancing technological innovation.

Covering 1,800 square meters, the exhibition features nine themed zones, 32 display booths, 41 technology exhibits, and 11 vehicle models. Visitors can explore a 130-meter exhibition route with 15 interactive experiences and two check-in areas. Seventeen leading technologies making their international and domestic debut are on display, including the Hongqi Tiangong all-electric platform and the Hongqi Honghu hybrid platform.
Over the past six years, China FAW has continued to strengthen its innovation capabilities by expanding its "1+12+X" global R&D network and investing a total of 81.9 billion yuan ($11.47 billion) in research and development.

The company has overcome 1,741 key core technology challenges, with breakthroughs including the Hongqi No 1 chip, solid-state battery design, and intelligent steer-by-wire chassis technology, helping reduce reliance on overseas technologies.
China FAW has also accelerated the commercialization of technologies by supporting industrial incubation and establishing dedicated innovation funds.
Qiu Xiandong, chairman of China FAW, said the company will continue to pursue breakthroughs in core technologies, foster new quality productive forces, and promote deeper integration between technological innovation and industrial development.
