The High-Quality Development Summit Forum of China's Automotive Industry was held in Changchun on July 13, bringing together government officials, industry leaders, and experts to examine the future of the country's automotive sector.

The forum focused on identifying development trends, addressing key industry challenges, and building consensus on high-quality growth.

Speakers discussed the evolving landscape of China's automotive industry from the perspectives of regional industrial development and broader market trends. They also shared expectations for closer government-industry cooperation and the continued improvement of the automotive market ecosystem.

The forum featured keynote speeches and a roundtable discussion. During the keynote session, representatives from China FAW, Dongfeng Motor Co, and the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers shared their perspectives on advancing the industry's high-quality development.

Liu Yigong, general manager of China FAW, said the company will accelerate the deep integration of technological and industrial innovation, positioning it as a key driver of high-quality development. He emphasized strengthening the foundation for innovation, creating more efficient pathways for industrial transformation, and reinforcing the support systems needed to sustain long-term growth.

During the forum, Chen Xu, deputy secretary-general of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, presented and interpreted the Research Overview of China's Automotive Industry Development, offering insights into the industry's current progress and future direction.

The roundtable discussion brought together executives from companies including JAC Group to explore topics such as strengthening collaboration between automakers and suppliers, enhancing the resilience and security of industrial and supply chains, achieving breakthroughs in core technologies, improving market competitiveness, and promoting the high-quality development of China's automotive industry during the country's 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-30).
