With 200 days remaining until the Changchun 2027 Winter Universiade, the city officially launched its countdown celebrations by opening the fourth Changchun citizens' choral festival gala, bringing together performers from across the region and abroad.

The event featured three themed performance chapters and drew broad participation from schools, enterprises, public institutions, and community art groups. Choirs from Changchun, Jilin and Siping cities took part, while the University of Pecs Choir from Hungary joined as a special international guest, creating a unique dialogue between local cultural traditions and professional choral artistry.

"I have visited China many times, but this is my first time in Changchun, the city of ice and snow. The entire gala was truly impressive," said the choir's conductor.

The countdown event also featured the latest technology-equipped models from China FAW's Hongqi brand, highlighting the role of innovation in supporting the upcoming international sporting event.

The gala is a centerpiece of the Winter Universiade's "1+6+N" countdown cultural program. Earlier activities included a symphony concert and a themed art exhibition, while city landmark light shows, mascot parades, artistic performances, and dozens of community sports and cultural events have created a festive atmosphere.
