Jilin University hosted a storytelling event on June 8 that highlighted the spirit of national service and innovation among its faculty, researchers, students, and alumni.

Eight speakers shared stories of dedication, perseverance, and achievement, illustrating how teams across different disciplines have carried forward the legacy of renowned scientist Huang Danian through their work and contributions to the country.

He Zhipeng, representing Jilin University's foreign-related rule-of-law teaching and research team, shared how the team integrates legal expertise with national priorities and contributes to building a community with a shared future for mankind.

Sui Yongming, speaking on behalf of Academician Zou Guangtian's diamond semiconductor device team, recounted the group's decades-long pursuit of diamond semiconductor technologies, from pioneering domestic diamond film research to developing high-quality 2-inch single-crystal diamonds.

Wang Yanzhang presented the achievements of Jilin University's helicopter-based airborne electromagnetic exploration team, highlighting its efforts to advance deep-earth exploration technologies and support mineral resource discovery.

Through personal stories and scientific achievements, the event showcased Jilin University's commitment to nurturing talent, advancing innovation, and encouraging generations of students and researchers to contribute to national development.
