Xu Jingwen, a former participant in China's western region volunteer teaching program, has returned to the school in Korla, Xinjiang, where she once taught, to establish a personal scholarship that supports local students and promotes educational development.
During a recent visit to the school, Xu Jingwen reflected on her experiences as a volunteer teacher in southern Xinjiang and shared how the region had shaped her outlook on life.

The scholarship was a way to give back to the community and encourage students to pursue their goals with confidence.
The initiative also highlights the broader influence of the Western Region Volunteer Program, which has attracted large numbers of young people from across China to serve in education, healthcare, and community development projects in less developed regions.
