The Third Northeast China Book Fair will be held from May 14 to 18 at Changchun Modern Agricultural Park, organizers announced at a media briefing in Changchun on May 7.

Jointly hosted by Jilin, Liaoning, Heilongjiang, and Inner Mongolia, the event will bring together more than 300 exhibitors from across China. Covering 30,000 square meters, the main venue will feature five themed exhibition halls showcasing themed publications, quality books, regional cultural products, intangible cultural heritage, and digital technologies from Jilin.

This year's fair will establish a citywide reading network comprising one main venue, 30 sub-venues, and 50 grassroots service stations. For the first time, parallel exhibitions and sales activities will also be launched in Liaoning, Heilongjiang, and Inner Mongolia to promote regional cultural exchange across Northeast China.

More than 230 cultural events will be held during the fair, including talks by renowned Chinese writers such as Su Tong and Ge Fei, new book launches, and the release of a "Most Beautiful Books" list.

The event will also feature the Northeast China Cultural Industry Trade Fair and Investment Promotion Conference, as well as the first Northeast Asia Digital Creative Model Art Exhibition.

Visitors can enjoy free entry to several exhibition halls, discounted books, shopping vouchers, and shuttle bus services. The fair will also echo the energy of the 2026 Changchun Marathon on May 17, combining reading and sports to showcase the city’s vitality.
