As the May Day holiday approaches, Songyuan in Northeast China's Jilin province is coming alive with spring colors, drawing residents outdoors to enjoy the season. Parks, streets, and riverbanks are filled with fresh greenery and blooming flowers, creating a lively, refreshing urban landscape.

Along major roads such as Qingnian Street and Songyuan Avenue, forsythia, peach, apricot, and pear blossoms line both sides, their soft leaves blending with layers of bright color. The combination of clean city streets and flourishing flowers creates a picturesque setting.

Parks and public squares have become popular gathering spots, with lush trees, gentle breezes and blossoms in full display. "For this time of year, you don't need to travel far – beautiful scenery is right at your doorstep," said a resident surnamed Liu. "The flowers are especially stunning now. Walking through the streets and parks with family is both relaxing and uplifting."
