Volunteer recruitment for the 2027 Changchun Winter Universiade entered a key interview stage on April 8, as institutions across Jilin province, including Northeast Normal University, Changchun University of Chinese Medicine, and Jilin Sport University, began second-round interviews to select top candidates from thousands of applicants.

At Northeast Normal University, the program has attracted strong student participation, with candidates advancing to interviews having undergone comprehensive assessments covering psychological readiness, physical fitness, and foreign language skills.

Changchun University of Chinese Medicine is conducting a structured, multi-stage selection process that integrates political standards with overall competence and aligns individual strengths with specific service roles. The process includes preliminary screening, secondary review, and public listing, and evaluates interviewees' oral language abilities, communication skills, adaptability, professional demeanor, and service awareness.

Jilin Sport University, the province's only higher education institution specializing in sports, is utilizing its disciplinary strengths in the selection process, focusing on aligning candidates' professional expertise with practical needs to ensure effective role matching.

Student applicants are also actively preparing for the selection. Chen Yuxi, a 2024 undergraduate at Northeast Normal University, said she has focused on enhancing her media production skills, foreign language communication, and service capabilities, including reception, coordination, and emergency response, to better contribute to the event.
