From March 22 to 24, Changchun Aviation Culture Exhibition Center buzzed with excitement as the city's aviation culture week officially opened, blending the spirit of aerospace exploration with the youthful energy of the upcoming Changchun 2027 Winter Universiade. The event was hosted by the Changchun municipal bureau of culture, radio, television, and tourism.
A highlight of the opening was the honorary ambassador ceremony. Wu Jie, one of China's first astronauts and a veteran astronaut trainer, and Wang Xiaoli, a former top-class air force pilot, were named "Changchun Aviation Expo Promotion Ambassadors". Drawing on their personal journeys, they shared inspiring stories of dedication to aviation and space exploration, passing on a powerful sense of mission to serve the country through science and technology.
March 23, designated as Science Outreach Day, focused on aviation education. Wu Jie and Wang Xiaoli engaged directly with young audiences, sharing aerospace knowledge through interactive Q&A sessions and autograph signings.
A themed painting competition invited participants to visualize their dreams of the sky, while visits to aviation-themed parks and hands-on tech experiences brought science to life.
