Preparations for the Changchun 2027 Winter Universiade are gaining momentum as a specialized ski rescue training program has officially begun. Led by the health commission of Jilin city, 30 medical professionals from top-tier hospitals have gathered at Beidahu Ski Resort for a systematic training program spanning two snow seasons, aimed at strengthening safety support for the international event.
The program focuses on the unique demands of snow sports rescue. All participants bring strong clinical emergency skills and solid skiing ability. The training integrates medical response techniques with on-slope operations, including emergency treatment in extreme cold conditions, fracture stabilization, and rapid evacuation of injured athletes across complex terrain.
According to the plan, trainees will complete advanced skiing courses and multiple rounds of high-intensity rescue simulations. From theoretical learning to real-world drills, every step is designed to ensure a rapid, precise medical response during competitions.
