Over the past year, Lyu Aihui, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairwoman of Yanbian Livestock Development Co, has visited villages and breeding enterprises across eight counties in Yanbian Korean autonomous prefecture.

By speaking directly with farmers and observing daily operations in cattle sheds and households, she gained firsthand insight into the needs and expectations of local breeders. These experiences helped shape her proposal on strengthening the role of private livestock enterprises in advancing rural vitalization.

Lyu believes that industry forms the foundation of rural vitalization. She has focused on boosting the Yanbian yellow cattle industry and making it a key driver of economic growth in border areas. Under her leadership, the company has expanded breeding herds and improved cattle breeding technologies through research platforms such as a provincial breeding laboratory and an innovation center for Yanbian yellow cattle genetics.

Thanks to her efforts, 45 standardized breeding bases across Yanbian now serve about 12,000 farming households, providing integrated services ranging from breeding technology to product sales.
