As the one-year countdown to the Changchun 2027 33rd Winter Universiade began, the Changchun Library has launched a photo exhibition celebrating the history of the Winter Universiade, inviting the public to relive the passion of university winter sports.
The exhibition is organized into four themed sections, including "Moments of Winter Competition" and "A New Chapter in Winter Sports". Through rare archival materials and vivid contemporary images, it traces the evolution of the Winter Universiade across 32 editions since its inaugural event in 1960, spanning more than six decades of ice-and-snow heritage.

From its origins in Chamonix, France, to its expansion beyond Europe and onto the global stage, the exhibition illustrates how the Winter Universiade has grown in scale and diversity, reflecting the rise of winter sports among university students worldwide.
The highlight of the exhibition, the "New Chapter in Winter Sports" section, focuses on Changchun's journey toward hosting the 2027 Winter Universiade games. It showcases the city's strong winter sports foundation, active public participation, and growing expertise in hosting major international events.
