A milestone moment rolled off the production line at FAW-Volkswagen's Changchun base on Oct 30 – the company's 30 millionth vehicle produced, an FAW Audi A5L leading edition, marking the first time a passenger car manufacturer in China has reached this scale. 

The ceremony gathered senior officials from the governments of Jilin province and Changchun city, leaders from China FAW, and representatives from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers and the China Automotive Technology and Research Center to celebrate the achievement. Major auto groups, suppliers, dealers, and car owners were also in attendance.

Qiu Xiandong, China FAW chairman and Party secretary, delivered a speech at the ceremony, noting that the milestone coincides with the 50th anniversary of China-EU diplomatic relations and underscoring the symbolic importance of this achievement. 

He noted that, as the first automaker in China to surpass 30 million units in production and sales, FAW-Volkswagen's achievement injects new momentum into the high-quality development of both the Chinese and European automotive industries.

During the ceremony, FAW-Volkswagen presented commemorative trophies to former general managers and deputy general managers, as well as to outstanding Chinese and German employees, and medals to 30 long-term customers.
