On Tongzhi Street stands the South Study Room · Xinhua Old Time Bookstore. It was once the Jilin Foreign Language Bookstore and now celebrates the charm of old books, vintage magazines, and classic media, all under the theme "Old Books, New Knowledge".
Divided into four distinctive zones for newspapers, periodicals, original editions, and audio-visual works, the study room recreates the scent and sentiment of a bygone era. Nostalgic themes like "Those Years with Our Textbooks" invite visitors to relive collective memories, while the "Time Post Office" encourages visitors to write letters to their future selves.
