15th China–Northeast Asia Expo wraps up

On Aug 31, the final day of the 15th China–Northeast Asia Expo, the Jilin Provincial People's Government held a news conference to summarize the achievements of this year's event. The expo lived up to its goal of being international, forward-looking, practical, experiential, and diverse.
A total of 20,733 guests from 45 countries and regions attended the expo. Among them were senior officials and ambassadors from 11 countries, as well as executives from 44 Fortune Global 500, China 500, and leading multinational companies.
More than 6,100 representatives from international organizations and trade associations participated, alongside 7,641 foreign participants, more than in previous years.
Throughout the week, 34 major activities – including the opening ceremony, the 4th Northeast Asia Local Cooperation Roundtable, the Northeast Asia Industrial Park Dialogue, and business exchanges with Belt and Road countries – facilitated deep trade and cultural exchanges.
The expo included four main pavilions and two special zones, covering 73,000 square meters with 3,620 booths. Over 1,029 companies participated, including 275 foreign companies from 45 countries and regions.
The Modern Industrial Pavilion showcased breakthroughs in automobiles, biopharmaceuticals, AI, and low-altitude economy, while the Open Cooperation Pavilion highlighted achievements in trade, infrastructure, and regional collaboration. New consumer products, cultural tourism, and international specialties were also crowd favorites.
In the New Consumption and New Services Pavilion, visitors explored the latest in smart wearables, smart home devices, ice and snow equipment, first-launch products, elderly care technologies, and cultural tourism highlights such as folk and border tours along the G331 Open Tourism Corridor. The experience was the most interactive yet.
Meanwhile, the International and Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan Specialty Products Pavilion brought together 264 companies from 43 countries and regions, offering a full showcase of their economic development, competitive industries, quality products, and cultural tourism attractions.
This year's expo also drew wide attention from Chinese and international media. Two press conferences were held in Beijing and Changchun, alongside 14 themed interviews on-site. Leading outlets such as People's Daily, Xinhua News Agency, and China Media Group provided in-depth coverage, while multilingual channels expanded the expo's global reach.
With 120,000 visitors and wide media coverage at home and abroad, the expo has consolidated its status as the premier platform for economic and cultural cooperation in Northeast Asia.
