The 2025 China (Jilin)–Korea Economic and Trade Exchange was held on Aug 27 in Changchun, Northeast China's Jilin province, co-hosted by the Jilin Department of Commerce and the China-ROK (Changchun) International Cooperation Demonstration Zone.

As a major event under the 15th China-Northeast Asia Expo, it was attended by over 200 representatives from government bodies, business associations, and enterprises from both countries.

At the signing ceremony, the China-ROK (Changchun) International Cooperation Demonstration Zone entered into three strategic agreements with the China-SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Area, the Korea-China City Friendship Association, and the Korea-China Economic, Cultural and Educational Association.

The agreements aim to strengthen Northeast Asia's role as a logistics hub by advancing China-Europe freight trains and overseas warehouses, expanding Belt and Road markets, and co-hosting exhibitions. In addition, new platforms for cooperation will focus on high-end equipment manufacturing, optoelectronics, healthcare, and modern services, further attracting Korean investment and enhancing regional competitiveness.

The exhibition introduced Hong Kong's unique advantages and growth potential through immersive displays and interactive technologies.

Highlights included an AR-powered metaverse experience allowing visitors to explore the city virtually, offering panoramic views of Victoria Harbour from the International Finance Centre.
