The China Changchun International Agriculture and Food Expo opened on Aug 15 in Northeast China's Jilin province, welcoming visitors to a 10-day celebration of harvests, innovation, and cultural richness.

Co-hosted by the Jilin and Changchun governments, this year's expo spans eight themed zones and 397 enterprises from 26 provinces.

More than 900 premium agricultural products are on display, including Xinjiang's creamy dairy, Guangdong's health foods, Yunnan's authentic medicinal herbs, Zhejiang's leisure snacks, Sichuan's signature delicacies, and Hainan's exquisite fruits. A dedicated Jilin section highlights the province's special industries, including ginseng, sika deer, forest frogs, and medicinal fungi.

Major industry players like Alibaba, China Seed International Seed Co, and YTO Group are also in attendance, forging connections between agriculture and commerce. In the high-tech facility hall, visitors can explore soilless cultivation, plant factories, tissue culture, tropical fruit trees, and fresh-cut flowers, offering a glimpse into the future of farming.

The creative agriculture exhibition blends cultivation with artistic landscaping, interpreting the "five colors" that symbolize Jilin: gold, silver, red, blue, and green, which represent agriculture, winter, red heritage, technology, and ecology. It is both a celebration of tradition and a vision of the future, underscoring Jilin's journey toward high-quality development.
