On July 15, during the 2025 China FAW Technology Conference, Chairman Qiu Xiandong introduced the SIGHT 531 strategy, a visionary plan that signifies the upcoming stage of Hongqi's technological evolution.

Rooted in nearly 70 years of heritage, Hongqi's five brand pillars – safety, intelligence, green, health, and taste – have evolved into a comprehensive innovation framework. Over the next five years, Hongqi will focus on 558 key technologies: 106 in all-dimensional safety, 179 in full-scope intelligence, 173 in green innovation, 33 in holistic health, and 67 in refined sensory experience.

To realize this vision, Hongqi is enhancing its three main technology platforms. The Hongqi Tiangong pure electric platform is improving key systems such as coaxial e-drives, batteries suitable for a wide temperature range, intelligent thermal management, and active suspension. These upgrades will provide safer, quicker, more energy-efficient, and higher-quality driving experiences.

The Hongqi Honghu hybrid platform is broadening its range-extending design and enhancing essential powertrain parts, including specialized hybrid engines and multi-motor setups, which allow for increased range, faster charging, and reduced energy use.

The Hongqi Jiuzhang intelligent platform is being redesigned with comprehensive large AI models, VLA semantic interaction, integrated cockpit-driving chips, and an advanced AI operating system.
