A thematic photography exhibition jointly organized by the Jilin Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the Jilin Provincial Photographers Association, and the Yanbian Photographers Association recently opened in Gangwon-do, South Korea.
The event, part of the China-Japan-South Korea International Photography Exhibition, showcases 100 outstanding works captured by Chinese and South Korean photographers in Jilin. The exhibition will run for approximately three months.
Since Jilin and Gangwon-do established sister-province relations, cultural and artistic exchanges between the two regions have grown stronger. The exhibited works vividly portray Jilin's unique charm and diverse cultural landscape, highlighting its natural landscapes, local life, and intangible cultural heritage.
The opening ceremony brought together nearly 100 photographers from China, South Korea, and Japan. The South Korean hosts also organized field trips and dialogue sessions for photographers from the three countries, promoting artistic exchange and collaboration.
A major highlight was the signing of a long-term cooperation agreement between the Jilin Provincial Photographers Association and the Donghae branch of the Federation of Arts and Culture Organizations of South Korea. The agreement covers talent development, joint exhibitions, and the regular exchange of works.
Zheng Chunsheng, chairman of the Jilin Provincial Photographers Association, announced plans for annual exhibitions, mutual visits, and a youth talent training initiative to deepen photographic ties between the two regions.
