This year's expo features four zones themed on Northeast China's revitalization, talent, outdoor interactive experiences, and enterprises. The Northeast China revitalization zone showcases cutting-edge research from top universities, including Peking University and Tsinghua University, alongside over 80 universities from northeastern China and Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

The talent zone offers targeted job matching with over 10,000 positions across key sectors, including equipment manufacturing and modern agriculture. The outdoor interactive experiences zone captivates visitors with hands-on experiences, such as autonomous vehicles, AI-assisted traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis, and student robotics competitions.

A highlight of the opening day was the Higher Education Reform and Development Forum, where experts explored topics including AI-driven transformation in education and enhancing university research output.

The expo runs through May 25 and will feature 14 additional forums on topics such as educator values and university-city collaborations.
