"Public transport is a city's calling card," Ma said. "I want every passenger to feel trust and warmth the moment they step onto my bus." She memorizes the tricky road conditions, notes the busiest stops, and ensures a safe, smooth ride – earning the respect and gratitude of countless passengers.

Her dedication led her to a new role as an NPC deputy in 2023. She made suggestions on urban public transportation management and better support for bus drivers, which gained national attention. "Seeing my suggestions recognized and addressed reinforced my sense of duty as a deputy," Ma added.

Jilin's booming ice and snow economy has brought an influx of tourists, and the city's buses now showcase themed interiors featuring winter tourism, cultural heritage, and local specialties. Inspired by this, Ma has been advocating for the expansion and innovation of public transport, believing it plays a crucial role in urban development.

As she prepared for this year's two sessions, Ma was determined to be the voice of the people. "I will not let them down," she said. "It's my duty to turn their concerns into government action."
