Global cutting-edge products to shine at Changchun health expo
|The 2024 Changchun International Medicine and Health Industry Expo will be staged on Dec 7-9 at the Northeast Asia International Expo Center in Changchun, capital of Northeast China's Jilin province.
Exhibitors on Dec 5 were busy making final preparations at the venue for this highly anticipated event.
The expo will feature the full industry supply chain of Jilin province's traditional Chinese medicine or TCM sector, with a focus on the planning and research achievements of Changbai Mountain ginseng, a prized local resource.
Key segments – pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, elderly care and medical science – will highlight advancements in industry-academia-research collaborations and technological innovations.
Some 648 enterprises have confirmed their participation, including international corporations Leica in Germany, Canon in Japan and Bayer from Germany. South Korean companies like Ceragem – the global healthcare provider – will also display their products.
Highlights of expo

At Hall A1, visitors will be greeted by the Changbai Mountain Ginseng Pavilion, featuring leading brands like Tong Ren Tang and leading research institutions. The Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences will present eight independently cultivated ginseng varieties and over 60 authentic medicinal herbs, alongside expert-led educational sessions on modern herbal medicines.
The TCM Cultural Experience Zone will offer an exploration of traditional medicine through three main areas: a renowned TCM physicians' clinic, a TCM treatment experience center, and a TCM culture pavilion.
Meanwhile, the TCM Future Health Zone will display over 800 well-recognized proprietary formulations from 25 affiliated hospitals of TCM universities across the country.
Hall A2 will spotlight advancements in medical devices, elderly care and medical technology.
International business opportunities
A key highlight will be the Overseas Buyers Trade Matching Event, which will take place on Dec 7 in Hall A2.
Over 50 international buyers with substantial purchasing power will attend, engaging in negotiations with top Chinese companies across pharma, medical devices, and health products.
