The result of a long-term collaboration led by professor Li Yu from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the base aims to become an international hub for fungus industry innovation. It will integrate research, production, processing, sales, and tourism. The project's first phase covers 10 hectares, with an expected annual output of 185,000 kilograms, generating 13 million yuan ($1.82 million) in revenue and creating over 1,000 jobs.
