Baicheng-based Zhongyi Precision Forging marks milestone

Manufacturer Northeast Industrial Group Baicheng Zhongyi Precision Forging Co – based in Baicheng city, Northeast China's Jilin province – shipped its first batch of 21,600 nut plate products to Swedish global truck giant Scania AB on July 9.
The was regarded as production milestone for the group – marking its first foray into exporting non-connecting auto rod products and signaling a significant step forwards in entering the global market.
Zhongyi Precision Forging is renowned for its automotive engine connecting rods within the China auto industry. In recent years, the company has leveraged its technical expertise to diversify its product portfolio – developing automotive balance shafts, nut plates and other non-connecting rod products. The exported nut plates are said by those in its industry to be a testament to these efforts.
In June 2021, Zhongyi Precision Forging passed the VDA6.3 and logistics audits by Scania with high scores, officially becoming part of the renowned Swedish truck and bus producer's supplier system.
By 2022, the company secured the nomination for two nut plate products. Following extensive testing and passing the PPAP audit in March 2024, Zhongyi Precision Forging received its first bulk export order from Scania, with a deadline of July 21.
In the wake of getting the order, Zhongyi Precision Forging meticulously organized its production, ensuring every stage was overseen by dedicated personnel. To meet the deadline, the company implemented a shift system, completing the order 12 days ahead of schedule.
