The GMOKE – a bright and breezy retro car designed for seaside resorts – was unveiled in Liaoyuan city in Northeast China's Jilin province on June 7.

The first batch of four test units will be exported to the Middle East, with future plans to sell to the Caribbean islands and to the United States.

Developed by manufacturer Liaoyuan Jincheng Heavy Industry Co, the GMOKE is described by General Manager Xie Pengyuan as the "youngest retro car" with an open-top design.

"Drivers and passengers can fully enjoy the blue sky, white clouds, sunshine and sea breeze. We've also equipped it with modern features like a large screen and a reversing camera, blending vintage culture with modern sensibilities," Xie explained.

The GMOKE boasts a full aluminum body, reducing its weight by over 50 percent and increasing structural strength by 20 percent, as well as significantly enhancing corrosion resistance. It is fully electric, featuring a high-efficiency permanent magnet synchronous motor and a high-performance lithium battery system.

The GMOKE has applied for domestic and Madrid trademarks, received new design patents and achieved EU EEC certification standards.

Founded in January 2022, Liaoyuan Jincheng Heavy Industry Co specializes in the development, manufacturing and sales of new energy vehicles. A subsidiary of Jincheng Holdings (Shandong) Group, the company benefits from Liaoyuan's status as a major aluminum processing base and the support it gets from the local automotive industry.
