At the China Brand Day event, CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co unveiled China's first urban C-type train, which is set to operate on the Shanghai Rail Transit Link Airport Express. 

The train, designed to run at a maximum speed of 160 kilometers per hour, caught the attention of Shanghai residents for its smart features, safety, comfort, and sleek design. It marks several national firsts, blending high-speed rail technology with urban rail operations, promising broad applications in the Yangtze River Delta and in nationwide urban rail projects.

Incorporating Shanghai's essence, the train sports a dynamic exterior with blue and gold accents, resembling a river flowing through the city. The streamlined front design and diamond-shaped headlights evoke a sense of energy and vitality.

On Dec 1, 2023, the Shanghai Rail Transit Link Airport Express train, manufactured by CRRC Changchun, successfully completed its on-site testing phase, demonstrating stable control systems operation and innovative Automatic Train Operation (ATO) turnaround functions, meeting operational interval requirements. This achievement signifies a technological breakthrough in achieving high-density urban rail operations, which enhances public transportation efficiency and urban connectivity.
