Recently, 40 students from Jilin University in Northeast China's Jilin province spent two months meticulously recreating the renowned masterpiece "Along the River During the Qingming Festival".
The painting depicts the bustling cityscape and lively street scenes during the Song Dynasty (960-1279), capturing the social life and ambiance along the Bianhe River and the bustling streets outside the Corner Gate.

In addition to the urban streets, the artist vividly portrayed vast plains, expansive rivers, and lush trees, adding a touch of natural beauty to the painting. This creates a stark contrast with the intricately detailed depictions of people and buildings.
During this project, participants used traditional brushes and carefully replicated lines and colors of this historical masterpiece onto silk fabric. The students were divided into several groups, each responsible for a portion of the artwork. Through meticulous coordination and collaboration, they successfully completed this magnificent artistic endeavor.
