The first China Jilin Songhua River Ice-skating Marathon is set to be held from Jan 30 to Feb 3 at the Songhua River Ecotourism Scenic Area in Jingyu county, located in Northeast China's Jilin province.

Online registration channels for the event have been launched, and participants from all over the country are welcome to sign up.

In order to better serve the event, Jingyu county has recruited 430 volunteers, forming 23 service support teams.

Ice skating marathons pose a significant physical challenge for participating athletes. For this competition, a supply station will be set up every kilometer along the track, providing warming facilities, ginger sugar water, salt pills, bread, and more. Currently, 12 supply stations have been designed.

Additionally, the Jilin Provincial Sports Bureau has prepared essential protective gear for the participants and staff members of this event, including heated socks, gloves, and warm patches.
