Siping Battle Memorial Hall
|During the Northeast Liberation War from 1946 to 1948, the Northeast Democratic Allied Forces led by the Communist Party of China suffered over 40,000 casualties – including nearly 20,000 sacrifices – to achieve final victory in the Battle of Siping.
In order to commemorate this historical period, the Siping Battle Memorial Hall was established in 1958. The new hall is located in the Hero Square of the Siping City Cultural Center, covering an area of 2,700 sq m with a floor space of 5,158 sq m.
In 2004, it was included as one of the national top 100 classic Red tourism scenic spots and became the first stop on the 26th Red tourism route out of 30 high-quality tourist routes.
