The launching ceremony for the FAWDE Changchun super plant took place on Dec 27, which also marks the start of G Power Field's upgraded lightweight 440 axle production.

Covering an area of 72,000 square meters, the super plant has a total investment of 989 million yuan ($139 million) and possesses the production capacity for assembling and painting 320,000 sets of drive axles. 

During the construction of the production line, various energy-saving, environmental protection, and energy management technologies were utilized to ensure a green and environment-friendly manufacturing process.

The overall maturity level of the plant's intelligent manufacturing reached Level 3, with certain areas reaching Level 4. This enables seamless human-machine-object connectivity and intelligent decision-making upgrades. The total efficiency of the production line ranks first in the industry, making production more automated and logistics more efficient.

The upgraded lightweight 440 drive axle produced by the plant achieves industry-leading performance in fuel efficiency and reliability. It also features a lightweight design, an oil change cycle, and low noise when in operation.

This product will only need an oil change at 800,000-kilometer intervals, and is more than 101 kilograms lighter in weight when compared to similar competing products. The drive axle boasts a maximum transmission efficiency of 99 percent, a comprehensive efficiency of 98.11 percent, a B10 life of 2 million kilometers, and a noise level that is 3 decibels lower than the industry standard.
