Victoria, a freelancer from Vladivostok in Russia, recently had the pleasure of reuniting with her long-time friend Xiaocai in Hunchun, a county-level city in the Yanbian Korean autonomous prefecture in Northeast China's Jilin province.

Xiaocai, who traveled all the way from Changchun, capital city of Jilin province, was welcomed with a delightful food and cultural experience in Hunchun.

Situated at the border of China, Russia and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Hunchun is a port city rich in exotic customs and unique culture.

With the development of sea routes, highways and high-speed railways, Hunchun has become an increasingly popular destination for international visitors, igniting a new wave of tourism in the area.

Since March this year, Jilin province has welcomed around 40,000 Russian tourists. On Aug 15, the first group of Russians entered Hunchun Port under the visa-free policy, marking a significant milestone in the resumption of cross-border travel.

As Hunchun continues to showcase its diverse attractions and strengthen its international connections, it is said to be poised to become an even more prominent hub for cultural exchange and tourism in the region.
