A new residential complex for employees in the auto industry, called the Automobile Talent Ecological Town, officially started operating in Changchun International Automobile City – located in Changchun, capital city of Northeast China's Jilin province – with an opening ceremony held on April 20.

The first group of experts from German luxury car maker Audi has already moved in.

The new town has a total investment of 4.2 billion yuan ($610 million) and it is set to eventually build 7,430 apartments with a total floor space of 620,000 square meters.

It will have 1,000 international talent apartments, 2,205 apartments for young employees and 4,225 flats for skilled staff members.

The international talent apartment section has completed the construction of 27 buildings and 578 sets of bungalows, which foreign personnel at China FAW Group and other expat experts in the jurisdiction can apply for.

It will develop into an international, eco-friendly community integrating high-end residences, five-star hotels, international schools, clinics and supermarkets.

The youth talent apartment section includes a services building, talent exchanges and training center, support and other buildings, designed to attract more newly graduated college students.
