A delegation of representatives from commerce and trading enterprises – based in Northeast China's Jilin province – set off for Indonesia on March 14, in a bid to attract investment, according to local media reports.

The Jilin delegation participated in the China Trade Fair Indonesia 2023 and will carry out a series of economic and trade exchange activities in Indonesia and Vietnam.

It consists of 21 companies covering auto parts, industrial and chemicals products, textiles, medical supplies, food additives, food and agricultural products and other fields.

During the ongoing visit, the delegation will conduct economic and trade promotion and exchanges with the Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association, the Industry and Trade Bureau of Ho Chi Minh City and the Business Association of China in Vietnam.

It will also conduct on-the-spot inspections in the two countries of industrial parks that are highly related to industries in Jilin province.

ASEAN has been China's largest trading partner for three consecutive years. Against the backdrop of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership or the RCEP grand trade pact formally taking effect, new policy dividends – including hefty cuts in tariffs – have promoted the acceleration of trade growth between China and ASEAN countries.

According to reports, since Jilin province issued its comprehensive RCEP implementation action plan, its business department has carried out multi-level special training and online promotions activities.

In 2022, the province's bilateral trade with Indonesia and Vietnam came in at $210 million and $180 million, respectively, for year-on-year increases of 37.3 percent and 194 percent.
