Yang Yongxiu, a technical expert at auto giant China FAW Group in Northeast China's Jilin province and a deputy to the 14th National People's Congress or NPC, recently made key suggestions about the new energy vehicles sector at the ongoing congress in Beijing.

He proposed the development of high-level skilled talent for new energy vehicles, to help with the transformation and upgrading of the automobile industry.

According to Yang, the development of the new energy automobile industry is based on electrification, networking, intelligence and digitization.

He said that by integrating new energy, new materials, the internet, big data and artificial intelligence, these transformative technologies had driven the transformation and upgrading of energy, transportation and information and communications technology facilities.

This in turn demanded newer and higher requirements from senior talent training modes.
