Northeast China's Jilin province is to make more moves in talent cultivation and in developing into an innovation-oriented province, according to local media reports.

The development of science and education talent and the promotion of innovative development have been identified by the province as the right strategic choices to deal with rapid change and win a competitive advantage.

Plans are for Jilin province to prioritize the development of education, strive to cultivate a large number of high-quality talent with both ability and integrity and provide strong support for the construction of an innovative province.

Provincial officials visited Northeast Normal University on Oct 27 and held in-depth exchanges with the teachers of ideological and political courses who can act as leaders in the growth of students.
