Ski resorts in Jilin province get set to open for business

The Lake Songhua Resort in Jilin city, located in Northeast China's Jilin province, is scheduled to open its doors for business on Nov 12. The resort, located some 15 kilometers from downtown Jilin city, is a comprehensive complex offering mountain vacations, alpine skiing, events training, outdoor sports, restaurants and food outlets, as well as accommodation. For the new winter season, the resort has an upgrade of its snow-making pipe network system for the whole mountain and the opening times of the snow trails are earlier. [Photo provided to gojilin.gov.cn]

Snowmaking begins in the Beidahu Ski Resort in Jilin city on Oct 27. The resort plans to be back running on Nov 18 and it has completed an overall renovation and upgrading. Some 37 new ski tracks have been installed, 20 of which have been put into operation – and the total number of ski tracks in operation has now reached 47.
