Jilin rice farmers ready for harvest

Farmers in Changchun, capital of Jilin province, are looking forward to another rich harvest as the rice paddies have entered the mature stage.
The autumn breeze, blowing across the rice paddies, brings a golden sea of rice sprawling across the landscape.

This year, rice has been planted in over 189,706 hectares of farmland in Changchun, which is one of the three major rice producing areas in the province.
Due to the large temperature difference between day and night and the long growth period, the rice produced in Changchun is famous for its good quality.

Meanwhile, the city is promoting characteristic agricultural projects combining rice planting, rice culture, folk culture and agricultural tourism.
In 2022, the city continues the construction of high-standard farmland and it is expected to construct 88,000 hectares of high-standard farmland in Changchun by the end of the year.
