World Jilin Entrepreneur Convention sees raft of projects

The seventh World Jilin Entrepreneurs Convention opened in Changchun – capital of Northeast China's Jilin province on Aug 25 – witnessing the signing of 69 projects, worth 66 billion yuan ($9.63 billion), according to local media reports.
The projects covered nine fields including automobiles, agricultural products processing, medicine and health, equipment manufacturing, electronics information, new materials and new energy.
Now in its seventh session, the convention has become an important platform for Jilin province to attract investment, gather talent and further its opening up to international markets.
Currently, the total number of Jilin merchants has grown to more than 3 million, with business and commercial organizations based there numbering some 105.
Jilin's entrepreneurs are said to have made grave efforts to promote the implementation of projects and to introduce talent and technologies to the province, and have so far invested more than 430 billion yuan in their hometown.
