Changchun Film Festival opens in Jilin province's capital

A colorful song and dance routine headlines the opening ceremony of the 17th Changchun Film Festival, on Aug 23. Launched in 1992, it was China's first film festival to be named after a city. Its most prestigious accolade is the Golden Deer Award, which includes 10 categories, including Best Film, a Jury Award, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Screenplay.
