Northeast China's Jilin province launched its first camping life festival in Changchun city on Aug 4, offering the bright promise of exciting summer getaways to visitors, according to local media reports.

The festival will run to Aug 14. A total of 61 types of domestic camping equipment and well-known outdoor brand products were unveiled, with a total exhibition area of 50,000 square meters.

The Jilin Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism issued special shopping coupons worth a total of 1.95 million yuan ($288,581) for the festival and visitors can buy camping equipment with them on site. 

During the festival, more than 60 activities will be launched including food, music, movies and sports events.
