Changchun moves forward with resolve toward brighter future
Changchun city, capital of Northeast China's Jilin province, has set an ambitious goal of increasing the permanent population to over 10 million and its total annual economic output to 1 trillion yuan ($149 billion). It has fully implemented a blueprint for developing six cities in a coordinated way. These comprise the International Automobile City, a Modern Agricultural City, a Demonstration City of Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality, the Science and Technology Innovation City, the City of New Types of Consumption and a Cultural and Creative City.
