The regular direct passenger route linking Changchun city in Northeast China's Jilin province with South Korea's capital Seoul officially resumed, with the landing of flight OZ303 at Changchun Longjia International Airport on July 5, according to local media reports.

The direct flight, mainly serving inbound and outbound passengers from the two countries for business, tourism and studies abroad, is scheduled to fly once a week on Tuesdays.

Trade and commerce between Jilin province and South Korea are understood to have strong competitive advantages in terms of their geographical and economic complementarity, scientific research and human resources.

The resumption of the air route is expected to help Changchun develop as a modern international transportation hub and establish a convenient aviation bridge for economic exchanges in Jilin province and even the Northeast China region.

In order to ensure the safe and smooth travel of passengers, the Changchun Border Inspection Station planned things meticulously in advance. It targeted efficient airline service support in four areas: business training, service organizations, port management and controls and COVID-19 pandemic prevention and controls.
