A movie called Ode to the Spring premiered on June 25 in the open air at the atrium square of the Changchun Film Studio, located in Changchun city, Northeast China's Jilin province, according to local media reports.

The movie condenses the 76 days and nights of the people of Wuhan's fight against the COVID-19 epidemic, through five stories from the perspective of ordinary people.

"Before filming, our crew went to the hospital to experience life as interns and there are real medical workers in the movie," said director Dong Yue.

"Only by truly integrating into that environment can we better appreciate the hard work of medical staff members," Dong added.

The movie will be released nationwide on July 1 and pre-sales are now open.
