Jilin's ecological system, environment continues to improve

The ecological system and the environment in Northeast China's Jilin province are continuing to improve, with the region's ecological environment condition index reportedly now standing at a good level for 18 years in a row.
In particular, the air quality of Jilin continues to go from strength to strength. In 2021, the proportion of days with good ambient air quality in nine cities of a prefecture-level and above in the province was between 89.9 percent and 98.1 percent, while the provincial average was 94.0 percent, which was 6.5 percentage points higher than the national average.
The water environment quality, acoustic environment quality, ecological system and environmental quality of the province last year also improved.
What's more, the province's ecological index (EI) was 68.62 and the ecological environment status was stable at a good level.
Compared with the previous year, the province's EI value increased by 0.55 and the quality of the ecological system and environment did not change significantly.
